Preventative Maintenance
The big misconception is that Diesel Engines are the problem and that is 100% FALSE! It is not the engines but the lack of additives in Ultra Low Sulfur Diesel fuel. CETANE is to Diesel Fuel, what OCTANE is to Unleaded fuel. Cetane & Octane give both fuels the power needed in order for your engines to run at Optimal levels. According to the Engine Manufacturers Association of America, you must have a minimum CETANE number of 44 for your Diesel Engine to run at Optimal Performance. Most CETANE #’s in this country are around a 40 or 42, therefore choking your Diesel Engine and causing underperformance.
